Regional Greenway Project

Project Overview

In the spirit of improving the quality of life for current and future generations, the Hamilton Burlington Trails Council (HBTC) is working towards a Regional Greenway vision. The Regional Greenway Project is a network of multi-use trails creating connectivity in and between Hamilton and Burlington. The concept, which connects and advances existing plans (i.e. Transportation Master Plan, Recreational Trails Master Plan, Cycling Master Plan), provides a way for residents and visitors to engage in active transportation. IDSC_6157_59 HDR2 bayfront TRAIL 945x400t allows people to safely and conveniently connect to natural, cultural and heritage areas, entertainment venues, businesses, schools, and transit hubs. With recent investments in active transportation infrastructure and light rail transit, there is no better time to move forward with implementing this vision of prosperous and well-connected cities.
